Plot twists were crazy!! I liked the end, however, the writing style made me want to DNF every 50 pages out of boredom.

I’ll give this a ⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 audiobook review. I am on the fence with this one. The story was a slow walk through the past of the couple’s relationship for most of the book. The husband and wife don’t get along. There are secrets that will be revealed. A revelation and a twist in the last 2.5 hours of the book made it bearable. Narrators. The Male narrator was tolerable. But I didn’t like how the female narrator read her parts. And for 62 chapters.. it annoyed me. All in all the dog was my favourite character.

This book follows Adam and his wife Amelia. They have been having some issues in their marriage which is on the clasp of falling apart. Amelia wins a weekend away from a raffle at work, they travel to the remote/secluded location as a last attempt to try and rekindle their relationship and save the marriage. However things aren’t what they seem and Amelia winning the weekend away was not just a random prize. I rather enjoyed this book, I am usually pretty good at predicting plots but I didn’t see the twist(s) coming. A couple things didn’t make sense and I felt the detective’s chapter at the end rather unnecessary but still a fun and thrilling read.
