The Play
"Lat year, defensive end Deacon Harris witnessed the very worst of the Charleston Condors. After everything he and the team went through, he promised himself he'd walk away from football. But before he can retire, the team is sold to the last person he ever expected to see again. Deacon stays because the Condors are going into major rebuilding mode. New owner. New coach. New players. New rules. But one rule hasn't changed: don't fall in love with the owner of your football team."--Page [4] of cover

<div>13 years ago Grant tutored Deacon. When Grant was leaving school for his career he left Deacon with a post it note but never expressed his true feelings. When they meet up years later, because Grant is buying Deacons football team, do you think Deacon will remember him? I love a good nickname and baby will always the one of my favorites. The way they look at each other when Grant is tutoring Deacon could burn down the library. It’s sweet how much Grant cares that Deacon passes his class. The first meeting years later was definitely not what I expected. Deacon really couldn’t say no to Grant even if he wanted to. I like how even though Deacon wasn’t there for the summer, Grant still kept him in the loop on everything that went on with the team. That ending was adorable! I cried like a baby. </div>
