What Happens When the Lights Go Out? Carter Gustafsson was a hardworking farmer on the fertile prairie of Wyoming, who with the help of his wife and family were doing their part to keep America’s breadbasket full. One day when he notices the power is out, at first it doesn’t seem particularly unusual—that’s just part of living on these harsh and windswept plains. But the source of this outage is unlike anything that came before, and Carter soon finds himself caught up in something far more ominous and terrifying, and that far more than his family’s survival is at stake.
