Saturday Matinee in Olde K.C.

"This book... is dedicated to entertainment in Kansas City, from the early 1900's up to the early 70's. It certainly isn't meant to be complete and authoritative, primarily because I have limited myself to my own photographic collection. Contained here are some of my favorite photographs: those that show Kansa Citians after work or school, on the weekend or anytime we aren't pursuing the all-important dollar or the means to that end, education. This 'leisure time' was spent with family, friends, or just relaxing alone. In the early to mid-1900's, this time was very hard to come by and that forced us to make the most of every precious minute. For that reason, I think that most Kansas Citians might have enjoyed themselves more than we do now. Sit back and hold on as we journey back to 'Old KC'." --
