The Thief

Thrilling, gritty, enemies-to-lovers, age-gap romance with a strong, sexy heroine, dark, morally bent heroes, and plenty of spice and angst. Packed with gasp-worthy twists and tension! This one will keep you on edge, wondering what comes next!! I’m not a good person. I’ve never murdered anyone, but the number of crimes I have committed is cringe-worthy. My name is Zoey St. Claire—I’m a thief. Please don’t judge! I was born into a life of crime.

When the man who trained me turns down a job he thinks is too risky, I steal the number and fly to New York to meet the guy trying to hire him. I need this! It’s not just about the job. It’s about proving myself. It's time to go out on my own. To do it, I need a good fence who believes in me. Ray D’Angelo could be the person I've been searching for. He's a wealthy man with connections in the monied crowd… I just have to convince him to hire me. When we finally connect, he asks me to meet him at a rundown bar belonging to one of his partners, Jack, an ex-military alpha-type with the personality of a Rottweiler... He hates me. Ray’s other partner, Wiz, is a brilliant sociopath with the most beautiful eyes I’ve ever seen... Seems he might try to kill me. They live in a brutal world with its own rules, one I don't understand, and they're in a bind. The son of an unforgiving man with a ruthless reputation was killed on Jack’s watch. The grieving father has given them a choice. Either they give him the murderer's name, which they can't do, or steal an ancient gem-encrusted ivory box from an enemy. They have three more days. If they don’t pull off the heist and hand over the box, they’ll be at war with a crime syndicate they want nothing to do with. But the bastard is lying to them! The mark is an equally shady character hiding a secret that could destroy the world! Nothing is as it seems! It’s the heist of a lifetime. I want the job. It would set me up. I just hope I can survive it... And them. The Thief is a fast-paced, suspense-filled novel with a powerful love story. Genre-bending—The Italian Job, Strike Back, and Tomb Raider, full of morally grey characters. *This is an intense, dark romance with adult themes, a jarring plot twist, and HEA. Recommended for mature readers. CWs are available on the author’s website.
