Goon Dog

“When someone tells these kind of wild stories at a party (probably sometime near sunrise) or at work (probably the day we’re all getting shitcanned) I say, ‘Goddamn, you better write that one down.’” — Bud Smith

"Jon Berger’s hard, clean prose stomps across the page to kick readers in the head. Goon Dog is literature in the rich American tradition of dope smokers, beer bong heroes, and sympathetic thugs shouting in backyards and basements at the deafening emptiness that accompanies loss of innocence. Every story feels like an old friend destined to die young, and too soon." —Jon Lindsey
