Her heart pounds heavily. Beats of sweat crawl down her temple to her cheeks, even with the wind blowing harsh against her flesh, the moisture still formed on her forehead. It wasn't from the heat but from the overwhelming amount of fear that filled her with each step. The closer she got to the door the more her body trembled.Angelina took a few more steps until she stood at doorway, which holds her painful past. The past that's consumed her life for years. A past she fought hard to cover without success. A past that was trying to ultimately destroy her future.Her hands trembled as moisture trickled down her cheek. Pain like she'd never felt before forms in her chest. One so powerful, she's not sure it will ever go away. She closed her eyes tightly and pull in a deep breath remembering the day she forced her hand to slowly pull the sheet away. Every bit of breath she had in her lungs comes out in a painful hiss. The sheet slips from her grasp, her heart slams against the wall of her chest, and a pain grips her so sharply it feels like it's piercing her insides.
