Dusk
DUSK is a sequence of 81 poems all written in the same format: five long lines to each poem. It is a quixotic collection that crackles with shifts of imagery and language as rapid as thoughts flashing in and out of mind, triggered by odd associations and creating new associations and paths. At once erudite and homely, formal and unstructured, puzzling and humorous, Richard Mullen has created an intriguing and vibrant work.
