This collection of 3 short stories is about family. All the stories reveal hidden and sometimes horrific secrets in families but also caring situations and traditions. “Mamma Mia Cuba” takes place in Miami and in Cuba within the Cuban community. It's about a medium who discovers a that her client is a serial killer and her half-brother. “A Wall Street Mustang in Montana”, as the title suggests, is set on a ranch in Montana and in Manhattan. The main character, Jeff, and his fiancée, Barbara, are torn between their home town, New York, and the wild west. “Oedipus Rex & Covid-19” could be in any psychiatrist’s office in the world. In it we meet a lost college student looking for meaning in life, and happiness, in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic just before he enters the adult working world. All the stories have surprising but happy endings which are actually just new beginnings with new challenges for the main characters.
