What better place to hide than in plain sight? Sandy is in hiding. Her misfortune at choosing the wrong man has thrown her in a dangerous place. His crime family wants her to disappear, as in dead. Her family, wants her safe and is doing their best to help her start over in a lovely but typical small Texas town called Twin Creeks. She doubts...no bets, her life that the gangsters she escaped from back east don’t peruse travel magazines or DIY stories. Each part of her new place is rooted deep in Texas history, well at least the spunky women of Texas. Sandy did not want her past love life to find her and she’s not ready for another relationship. She’s stunned when a possible new romance emerges in the very fine form of a retired Texas Ranger, Jonathan Wells. Will he be there for her when she needs the skill and connections of a lawman? Or, will her former life catch up to them both?
