Jenny and Me Jenny's Journal
In this, her journal, Jenny gives an account of her father's abuse at the end of the summer of 1961. Jenny's older sister, Karen, took upon herself to protect Jenny, since their mom wasn't at home due to taking care of their grandmother. To help Jenny escape the family drama, Karen, acting 'in loco parentis', was instrumental in getting Jenny enrolled as a boarding student at Emma Hart Willard Preparatory School for Girls in Marblehead, Massachusetts, near Boston. Jenny's life was turned for the better with new friends at and a deepening relationship with her cousin Marty Lamont.
