The Coldest Kiss
Former drug kingpin D’Angelo “Bishop” Williams has just been released after seven years spent in prison because his treacherous best friend and gold-digging girlfriend. Unable to get a job, Bishop assembles his old crew for a bank robbery. Before that happens, he finds himself immersed again in his former business and a war for control of the streets. But everything is different now, and Bishop is far less certain of himself. A DEA mole has infiltrated his team, and multiple groups — black and Hispanic gangs, the Mafia, and his own team — are battling furiously for territory. With multiple hitmen always nearby and the feds closing in, time is running out. Then there’s the matter of revenge, which requires survival — a dubious prospect at best. Based on actual incidents involving the notorious MS-13 street gang, this gritty novel is a blistering ride through a shadowy noir world that may again prove Bishop’s undoing.
