Kelly O’ Malley returns to her hometown with the sole intention of helping her sister, Cora, create the perfect wedding day. But those plans get complicated when she finds herself in the care of her sister’s friend, Dougie, the annoying goof-off she remembers from her teenage babysitting days. When Dougie Scarpetti agrees to be part of his dear friend Cora’s wedding day, he doesn’t realize it will include spending time with her gorgeous, irritating older sister, Kelly. Things go from bad to mortifying when he takes Kelly to a family dinner with his screwball cousin Jackson at Grandma Iris’s house. Soon, a series of problems, including a teenager in trouble and a bride and groom who are stuck out of town, threaten to derail Cora and Trent’s big day. Dougie and Kelly, along with an unlikely team of friends, family, a professional wedding planner, and even a few animals have to work together to ensure the celebration goes off without a hitch. As the chaos ratchets up and solutions must be found, Kelly can’t help but notice that Dougie’s matured from a little brat to a thoughtful and charismatic small business owner. And Dougie starts to realize he might just have a second chance with his childhood crush.
