Whatever Became of Sin? A Search for the Answer
This is the story of one man's journey in search of the answer to whatever became of sin. During his search, he became aware of one of the most startling developments in this nation's Christian history: the word sin and the concept of sin have virtually disappeared from our culture and from many of the pulpits in our land. Some of the old-fashioned Ten Commandments sin are still around but are no longer considered sins. The Christian church in America hit a 20th century iceberg and now hundreds of churches close their doors each year. The others lost millions or about one-third of all their members. Some 40 percent of all pastors have considered leaving the ministry. The author believes the absence of preaching on sin was a major cause in this nation's downward trajectory and the root cause if the proliferation of cultural sins. The author also offers suggestions on how Christians can reverse that trend and once again take the high road in this country.
