This story set in Deadwood, South Dakota in 1876 is about a part owner of a stagecoach line that is regularly being robbed of gold. The plot revolves around a theater group moving into Deadwood and the ingenue falling in love with the stagecoach owner and the battle he has with the gambling hall owner who wants to take control of the town and gold. Included in this story is the murder of Wild Bill Hickok. Calamity Jane also moves in and out of the story.
