This book was both tragic and wholesome all at the same time with some dark sarcastic humour sprinkled in I was completely sucked into the world. Freida’s writing style is so easy and enjoyable to read and I particularly loved the non linear way the story jumps between past and present I found it really gripping and very much enjoyed this structure I was really routing for Charlotte the whole way through she was such a beautiful complex empathetic character, the rest of the characters both minor and major were so detailed and described so perfectly that I felt I had a complete picture of both what they looked like and who they were as people. The story was very well written with the first half having me completely immersed and on the edge of my seat, I had sort of figured out how the ending was going to play out just over half way through however I didn’t get every detail right which I was very pleased about, I didn’t even care that I had pretty much figured out where it was going as I was so engrossed and just had the best time reading through this beautiful story I’ve seen mixed reviews on this book but personally I thought it was really good and would definitely recommend to anyone who thinks this could interest them
