North Woods: The Enemy Within
Newly assigned by MI6 to The Bureau of Naval Intelligence of the Canadian Maritime Command, Commander Robert Amesbury faces the stark reality that his new identity has changed his life forever. Gone are all the aspects of his past life and the relationships with those he loved and trusted. Now daunting challenges face Robert as he is ordered to lead an investigation into sabotage of weapon systems aboard ships of the Canadian Navy. His initial findings indicate a secret Russian operation to not only undermine Canada's naval commitment to NATO but also an attempt to infiltrate and control the sale of tobacco and alcohol products sold on the Indian Reservations bordering Quebec Province and New York State. Set in cosmopolitan Montreal and the north woods of Upper New York state and Quebec Province, what secrets will be revealed as the investigation unfolds? Who is the sinister Karmoninsky, a former associate of Putin? Will Robert's past come back to haunt him and endanger his life?
