Between Sky and Ground
"Between Sky and Ground" portrays mental illness, incarceration, crime, and homelessness as they afflict the black community, and the ordeals the human spirit must go through to overcome such adversity.
It is the story of two vulnerable characters: one who succumbs to life's injustices, and the other who, through a transformative struggle, heroically rises above them. It is a tale of heartbreak and courage, sickness and healing, damnation and forgiveness.
In today's world of racial hate and social division, "Between Sky and Ground" shines a light not only on the nature of our problems, but on a way through the rubble. "Between Sky and Ground" is rooted in my own life experience. I hope that it opens up new paths of understanding for all of us.
