Almost CURED TO DEATH: My Journey From Severe Medication Injury to Pharmaceutical Injury Hope Dealer
After taking a prescription for the antibiotic Cipro, Sonia’s life starts to slowly decline into a living hell of pain and injury from taking just 14 pills. As she searches for answers she finds online injury groups and develops friendships with others who were also injured. She soon realizes they were not only injured by Cipro, but many were also injured by medications they were prescribed and tests performed on them because of their injuries. This led her to want to change the system of how fluoroquinolone antibiotics are prescribed, which sends her down a dangerous path of discovery. These discoveries cause her to be monitored by unknown entities after creating a general medication injury group. As she works towards her own healing slowly finding success, which is detailed in the book, she also writes about the successes of the many new people she’s met through the process. Stories from around the world highlight the commonality of these injuries and how other medications can further complicate healing in many cases. For this memoir, Sonia also interviewed top researchers and injury advocates who have added valuable insight and experience about the dangers of Cipro, Levaquin and other fluoroquinolone antibiotics. This book is a collective resource of information about the risks many prescription medications can cause leading to catastrophic outcomes.
