Queen of the Library

By day, Jack is a respectable children’s librarian. By night, Jack performs at the club as Luna LoveUGood, drag queen extraordinaire, known far and wide for risqué looks inspired by everyone’s favorite children’s book characters.Jack’s two worlds collide when halfway through Luna’s awe-inspiring performance (if she does say so herself), who does she spy at table six? Jack’s boss. The totally hot, totally professional, totally inappropriate-to-have-a-crush-on librarian, Adrian, comes to the show to hire Luna to do a children’s program at the library. He doesn’t recognize Jack under Luna’s makeup, and somehow Luna is trapped into the gig. Now Jack/Luna pull off the impossible to be two places at once or she has to come clean and hope Adrian—who’s never given Jack the time of day but who seems to be quite taken with Luna—will forgive the deception and accept both sides of Jack.Queen of the Library is a 10,000 word short story.
